I love ♡ : Disney & Barneys New York: Electric Holiday

Images with [IlluminatedTammy] watermark were personally screen-shoted and collaged by me, images without the watermark are from an external source :)

hello hello!

I'm back with a video-blog, I actually saw this video the day it was released, I just didn't get the chance to blog about it due to all the packing/traveling madness!
Again, if you know me personally, you'll know that I am obsessed with anything and everything Disney, always have and always will! and being an aspiring fashion designer, you can only imagine my excitement watching this collaboration between Disney and Barneys New York, Electric Holiday!

What could be better?

All my favorite things combined into one! As always, I've print-screened my favorite moments of the video! I would really appreciate if you linked back if you decided to copy any of the frames because it took me quite a lot of time to print screen each and every single frame:) The actual video will be linked at the end of this post, definitely check it out!

Before I begin, I just wanted to touch on the topic about the negative feedback on the "size zero" representation on some of our favorite Disney characters. I've read comments here and there about not liking the "size-zero" transformation on the Disney characters but I think people are reading.. or should I say "watching" this clip a little too literally. For a moment, forget your first impression of the "size-zero" transformation and take a little walk down memory lane to the younger days. Remember dressing up in your mom's outfits and strutting down your imaginary runway? Watching your mom dress in awesome clothing and aspiring to look just like her one day? I know I did! and to me, the entire Minnie Mouse transformation was that for me, that for a moment, she got to live the dream of strutting down a runway being merged into the fashion world through her imagination, now that's magic;)

I say, take it for what it is, and have fun! Take it lightly and don't look for negativities or innuendos in the clip, enjoy the magic that Disney always brings to us but this time just a little more fashionable :)

Without further ado..
Let's begin this Electric Holiday ;)
I love Daisy's little cameo on the AirFrance poster!
Don't we all do this from time to time, stand at the shop window and dream to own that oh-so perfect dress
Minnie is about to bring us on a fashion adventure in Paris through her imagination.

♡♡

Someone take me to Paris already! >.<
I love the intricate and miniscule details that they illustrated into the overall interior background, it really adds to the mood of the famous decorative Parisian interior design.

♡ Minnie's signature pose! ♡ and fashion photographer, Steven Meisel
I joint the four frames together, I loved it! Especially liked the whole vignette antique-esque effect.
 Mario Sorrenti on the right!
I love how different the style of photography was in this frame, love the color boost in this representation of Minnie by Mario Sorrenti!

How cute is Minnie in her new Lanvin dress! :)

How magical is it? I absolutely loved it! You know what's funny? I have NEVER been a fan of Snow White but woah did this little collaboration change my impression of her! Super cute! but I can't lie, Cruella De Vil still freaks me out.
From this video, I can proudly and safely say, I'm both a fashion and Disney lover. I pretty much recognized all the Disney characters without much help at all but I mean.. in all fairness, they were pretty iconic characters!and of course their fashionable outfits and the front row audience were definitely no strangers to me! Recognized BryanBoy in a heart beat

I don't know how many times I've said this, DISNEY MAKE ME A DISNEY CHARACTER ALREADY! That's my ULTIMATE DREAM
Well.. until now.. now I want to see Minnie Mouse in my designs! and I have always dreamed of the day I would sit front row at a runway show next to BryanBoy! or I guess... Captain Hook is cool too;)
I hope this post brought some magic and fun to your day
